I read your post in the Mothers' Group. I have no children of my own but I've worked with them for over 14 years. I have even been a foster parent. I am currently building a design business (www.creativegeniusdesigns.com) and I am consulting under CULTIVATE (Cultured Urban Learning Teaching Innovative Values Achievement Targeting Excellence) which will soon be a 501(c)(3). I am well versed in program/youth development especially female gender-specific programming and I also write grants. I would love to talk to you about what you're doing/trying to do.

My hat is off to you. I am a single mom with two daughters, ages 13 and 11. I've been told that boys are much different to raise because of their energy and wanting to participate in sports activities. I would ask how close your circle of friends are that can help you with finding "quiet time" just for you. Not much is required, but you will need some to get quiet enough to hear what GOD has in store for you.
If at all possible, can you engage your 13 year old daughter in helping you with some things to care for the business without her feeling like she "has" to do it. Maybe a small amount of compensation will go a long way. Example, I run a mobile spa business and my daughters help me with passing out fliers and things of that sort.
