Did you know, while we’re in this natural body, we’re going to suffer some afflictions?
The devil tries to bring them on us to keep us from doing the Will of the Father.
If anyone knows what afflictions can do outside of Jesus sufferings, is Paul himself.
Paul is the only apostle mentioned throughout the New Testament who suffered more afflictions than any other person.
He knew what it was like to suffer for Jesus’ name sake.
He was beaten, whipped, jailed, stoned 3 times and bought back to life.
And still he said, our light afflictions which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
Did you know when we suffer in the flesh we’re ceasing from sin?
And though our outward man perishes, the inward man is renewed daily.
Paul encourages the churches to be of good cheer when you suffer for the name of Jesus.
God comforted us every time we’re cast down. But we have to know all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
This is why; we have to hold each other up in pray. We don’t know what others are facing. We are our brother’s keeper and we bear each other’s burden.
We’re one body. So if my brother or sister hurts, did you know God reveals that as well?
God will place someone on your heart you may not know, in the flesh but when He does pray for them.
God is working out their destinies.
We’re in the last days, we are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
We’re dying daily. At least, we’re supposed to be!
Did you know we’re blessed when we endure temptation? The Word of God says we’re going to receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love Him.
So I’m encouraging you all today, let’s be patient in our sufferings so our hearts can be established for the Name of Jesus.
Then we can rejoice, inasmuch as we are partakers of Christ's sufferings; when his glory shall be revealed, we may be glad also with exceeding joy.
