What came to mind this morning were the Children of Israel. How God delivered them out of Egypt from under the hands of Pharaoh. They were enslaved being in bondage for him to do whatever he pleased.
How God lead them into the wilderness. He fed them with manner from heaven and smote the rock for them to drink water.
Everything in the Old Testament is for our example.
Even though they were in the wilderness, they ate of God’s word (the manner) and drunk of His spirit (the Water from the Rock).
With David when he ran from Saul who wanted to kill him, God lead him into the wilderness. He too was fed from heaven. God provided him with food and water.
The question is today, are you being filled?
Just like the children of Israel, we were in bondage to sin, born into sin shaped in iniquity.
When God brings us out, we need to be fed. Eating the Word of God and drinking of His spirit.
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach, except they are sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
When you give your hearts to Christ, you need to be fed the Word of God from someone who’s called and sent to give you fresh manner from the throne of God.
You need to drink of God’s Spirit which will gives you the hidden mysteries of the Word of God. He who dwells in the secret place of the most high, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
The Word of God say, blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, they shall be filled.
If you look through the New Testament, Jesus only spoke to the Pharisees in parables. Why?
He told His disciples it was for them to know the mysteries of the kingdom.
Many people know the Word of God but you have to seek God to get the mysteries of His Word.
The letter kills but the Spirit gives life.
If we seek God for the hidden things, He will open up heaven and give us fresh manner from above.
Those who try to impress you with what they know, only have the letter of God’s Word.
When you seek God, there will be such humility with it, knowing we’re not worthy to receive such treasure from Heaven.
But God made us worthy to eat of His flesh and drink of His blood when He transformed us from darkness into His marvelous light.
Many are called but few are chosen.
Today, let’s examine ourselves. Are you a Chosen one who’s being filled?
